Hey there. I'm looking to buy a new subwoofer. I have a large to medium sized basement that is a little hard to position speakers and subwoofers. I found this listing recently on ebay for a Rockville subwoofer. It is the Rockville RBG15S 15" 1600w. Now I know this maybe a lot just for home audio, but I always listen to bass intensive songs and well that price I cannot beat. My only concern is that won't that 1600w max out a standard US outlet? And well, has anyone ever heard of this brand, let alone used it? There has been many great reviews on Amazon and eBay. It looks promising. Thanks.

The sub amp has a 5a fuse so it won't have any problems with standard 15a AC lines.
How it would work in your room is another story. All the DSP functions seem to be to boost bass level or get it to go lower. No way to reduce peaks in bass which is more important in a room. If your receiver has room correction built in then that would let you flatten the bass in the room better than the built in DSP.
Seems like a decent deal for the price but if you don't like it they may not cover return freight so that would be a consideration since it is very heavy. Service might be an issue too.

but how many watts can my outlet produce? I live in the US and I heard it was 1500 watts or something. I don't want to be tripping a breaker every time I'm hit a bass note ahahahaha
