Solved! Microphone not working

Hello,
can some one help me out,i cant have a voice chat on yahoo messenger with my laptop, because the microphone seems not to be working

if it's an embedded microphone, you may need to load the correct drivers for it - or configure it. Try double clicking on your volume icon, then clicking 'system sounds' (windows) - attempt to play around to get your mic working...

i went to hp site, got the windows 7 version of the sound driver, installed it and everything is working perfectly.
