Can I hook up my microphone and my tablet to my auxiliary on my stereo to play karaoke

Most (all?) tablets and phones I know have a single connector for microphone and headphones. Which means that if you plug your mic into the tablet, there will be nowhere to plug the output to stereo, unless you use a Y splitter cable.

All this is valid, of course if Karaoke is being played by your tablet.
