I have honestly not seen a game get pirated like this in 20 some years. Back in the days of the Atari ST and Amiga, games where leaked a month ahead of time. I remember Space Quest people playing it a month and a half before the ever hit the stores.

[citation][nom]hellwig[/nom]Why would anyone think that can play a pirated game over a network owned, operated, and administered by the company they are pirating the game from, and expect to get away with it?That would be like stealing a car off a dealers lot, then returning to that same dealer to get your oil changed.[/citation]
There are A LOT of STUIPID people in the world

rsg22, yeah that's the best way. Besides, anybody serious about pirating games is going to be savings thousands of dollars on software that they didn't purchase ($60 for each game). So, why not drop an additional $200 on an additional Xbox 360 ? Then, you get the best of both worlds. Of course, they'll still need legitimate copies of games that they want to play online.

honestly readign comments regarding pirating makes me sick.seems teh vast majority of users here at tom's . thinks that stealling shit is ok . glad none of your folks are my neighbors. what's so disgusting is the way you get so offensive in your remarks towards companies that are only trying to protect thier product. accoring to soem of teh logic i have seen here , most of you pirate defenders think there should be laws against law enforcers arresting poeple for breaking laws. meh ,why do i bother you degenerates are so inclined to believe thjat the world so how owes you every thing , i doubt any thign i have to say will make you see things in a more reasonable light. Just don';tgocrying to me when some other a-hole robs you.

True, there aren't that many I play online anyway - some really good games are single player only.

[citation][nom]ct1615[/nom]yeah luckily us PC gamers never have to suffer because of a-hole game pirates. Now to play my legit copy of Assassins Creed II on the PC....ah crap server disconnect!!![/citation]

And yet the pirates are going LOL at idiots like you that actually bought the game.

And you blame the pirates and not the game company that put that draconian DRM in? Fool.

It's ok i don't have an Xbox and haven't played a Halo game since the first one...whats so different from the first one anyways...combos?

people who are against or for are both retarded in my opinion. but if i had to be grouped in with one side i would rather be on the for it side than against it. why?

people against it all have the same argument that everyone else has, its illegal and you should be punished. however, people against it act like you punched a pregnant lady in the gut so hard the infant soots out and gets killed, and than you take the thing by its umbilical cord and proceed to beat the woman to death with it.

i mean this in all seriousness, the hell do you care? a movie studio will tell you that every person who pirates a move or sees it online for free would have bought it or payed to see it if they didn't see it online. that just plain isn't true.

the same thing with games. if a pirate pirates it they most likely would have never payed for it to begin with. and do not tell me otherwise, because the i pirate than i buy is so rare that its not worth mentioning.

in almost all cases, you cant play online with a pirate game too. you dont get all the functionality.

and here is a CLEAR DIFFERENCE
pirating =/= stealing
because pirating does not take away profit, stealing does. and at best pirating takes away potential profit.

now here is the funny thing, laws keep trying to be passed that makes pirating a worse crime than murder. as in a 1 mill fine and minimum 20 year federal prison sentence.

ill end my little rant here.

LoL. i can see alot of guys here know little about modding. If you know what ur doing, u can play 100% online and Microsoft has no clue. never have and never will! its just that they cant detect your modd if its all done correctly. Like renting a game and ripping it. u can get the exact image, exact security sector. to them its the original. and to bypass a flashed rom security flaw is super easy these days. some of you guys need to do a little more research on jtagged xboxes also. dont you know that these days the newer dash has been jtagged 100% with external hard drives, modded roms, even roms that doesnt come in the xbox? ever seen a sony DRU used to play xbox 360 games? and the guys thats downing pirates. Your just pissed off because u dont have the intelligence to do such a thing. And i am talking about creating a source. not going to youtube and watching a guy do it that has watched another. thats not tru modding.
