I made an app for WP 7.5 only to find out that it cost $100 dollars for the developer account just so i could try it out.

Schwizer, tough break, if your app is free but you can leverage any advertising or charge for the app and get thousands of downloads, that $100 will seem like a bargain - if you don't understand the macroeconomics of app publication then maybe you should give up writing them

@back_by_demand ist almost impossible to get thousands of downloads with an app made without to know a programming language. Windows phone app studio is just for kids.

I think development should be free, only publishing should cost anything.

Anyway, i'm surprised there's no mention of Windows 8 being mandatory, as is with the WP8 SDK.
