A physical media that is bought and paid for has its place and cost no more than legal DL content. Hulu of course, doesn't count.
When you factor in storage costs and backups.
A typical movie (BR) = $20. Will play on ANY player.
A typical HD DL movie = $15, requires 20GB of HD space (give or take) = 50 HD movies per 1TB drive is $100... = $2 per movie in storage... but if it matters, you should have a 2nd drive for back up = $4 now.... now you're up to about $19+ for a featureless movie that may or may-not be flexible enough to work on more than 2~3 devices.
It really isn't hard to pick up disc.
