[citation][nom]one-shot[/nom]They don't want to worry about PC gamers like me pirating it. I refuse to buy/play this game.[/citation]
Exactly man! When I heard they got rid of the private servers, I decided to not to get this cr@ppy console port.

"While Modern Warfare 2 sits poised and ready for its November 10 release, some retailers have already acquired and sold copies of the Xbox and PC versions thanks to a sneaky leak."

The PC version is NOT on the internet yet. Stop slandering PC users as all pirates. This time its all Xbox people.

[citation][nom]Jerky_san[/nom]and which system came out first? Not PC, Not PS3(cause it hasn't been hacked)[/citation]
WTF are you smoking?!?! PCs came out WAY before consoles and thus PC pirating started around the same time too.

i love how they make the threat "modifying their Xbox 360 to play pirated games will void their warranty" who cares?! xD and pirating his been around for awhile how is this stuff still news...

[citation][nom]rooket[/nom]Easy enough option, just don't play it. If they want to be big a$$holes about people pirating a game that is going to sell millions upon millions of $ worth then they can keep it. Especially since today I read M$ just fired another 800 people whilst Windows 7 Ultimate literally flies off of the shelves. Anyone see a common theme here? Greed[/citation]

I see acommon theme ... assholes that like to steal shit and then piss and moan when some one does something to protect their shit. I see NOTHINg wrong with

They better expect the PC pirating numbers will be much higher then with CoD 4 1. Why should PC gamers pay 60 dollars for a game without dedicated servers? Seriously, MP is the only reason to play that game. And it already sucks enough compared to battlefield and other team based games.

But then they go and remove the things that made online PC gaming so much better then console? LOL.

Microsoft itself is unable to make a reliable console... I find it ironic they claim that pirated 360 are going to break down more easily.

As for Activision, with their recent anti-PC behavior, I refuse to pay for their games. By the way, Modern Warfare was already a boring game and I don't expect anything spectacular for the second opus. Run, shoot, taking hits, corner getting red, sitting down in a corner to recover bullet shots...

Seriously... why is Valve Counter-Strike Source still is the best FPS experience on the market after 5 years?

it seems to me that most every one on here is a stupid moron who has and can get every thing they want. u all sound like spoiled idiots

[citation][nom]redgarl[/nom]Seriously... why is Valve Counter-Strike Source still is the best FPS experience on the market after 5 years?[/citation]
Because Valve had the best idea: keep it simple.

if any of you have pirated/beaten the game...
omg wow so much hype the story blows butthole i was expecting to play for at least a week but i ended up beating the game in 2hrs

No Demo, No Dedicated Servers, No more than 18 player online Multiplayer (PC version), Do they actually care about their customers? No.

And all this equals NO PURCHASE.

And if you dont purchase what do you do????

I anticipate as they seem to be determined to pi$$ off the PC community this will be the most torrented game of all time.

I'm sorry, but I can't believe what you people are saying. Pirating is against the law for more than just legal reasons. You're basically telling all of the artists and engineers who worked on the game that it's not worth your money. Look at the music industry. They're hurting so badly because of all of the pirating; because of the "It'll sell millions, anyway" mentality. You don't realize that if EVERYONE says that, then the product has not been purchased by anyone. What is wrong with you people?

LOL,

X360 got a pirated version 1st? it is the same for dragon age origins!

Haha. MW2 sucks anyway without dedicated server support for PC, no plan to get this game.

[citation][nom]dextermat[/nom]lol the warranty is useless anyway because it expires in 1 year and then a few month after you get a red ring of death and buy anotherone anyways[/citation]

While what Manos said earlier was a bit inflammatory/fanboyish, he was right about the XBox warranty. It is 3 years and while the RRoD was a lot more prevalent a couple years ago, it has since seen a sharp decline with the hardware revisions released since the launch system. Though, for all intents and purposes, they should have done a hell of a lot more stress testing before they launched the damned thing. The actual failure rate, not the 35-50% failure rate people like to quote, was utterly dismal and should have prompted a recall.

ummm you all a bunch of cheap ass pussy who cant afford a 60$ game so ur fat asses go and pirate it.Its unfair to the epeople who have to wait a week to go get it.Fuck u

[citation][nom]Rab1d-BDGR[/nom]I bet the crackers will figure out a way of adding LAN support so that the pirate version will actually be better than the official for some users.[/citation]
It is only a slightly modified version of the same engine. I would expect a users provided dedicated server system using CoD:MW's dedicated server system ported to MW2.

Who can't afford it? $60 is over the top for PC games. The reason people do not want to buy it is because the game is virtually the same as the first. No real graphics upgrade, the game engine was only slightly modified to make MW2. Dedicated server support was removed, you want to know how successful that is look at Counter-Strike. People are still playing the original CS nearly 10 years later. Not a small group either these are large numbers of people.

I think IW is afraid to support dedicates servers because it is actually a good measure of how well a game stands the test of time. They have developed a crap game that is a rehash of the original and they know it. They are banking on everyone buying it before word gets out that it is no all that great. Dont believe me, play the demo...ooooohhhh that's right. No demo either, something smells here. An I am already calling bullshit on IW.
