I would love to use the Skype app for my laptop, i'm stuck with Windows 8 so I might as well use the Skype for Win8.

However, I don't want to be forced to merge all of my accounts, I want to keep my original Skype account separate.

The Windows 8 Skype app is a huge improvement, save but one issue: you cannot talk on skype and use another application without snapping the app, and snap does not function while a full screen window is active(i.e. games); until this is fixed, the app is useless.

Skype Metro is still a long way from being as usefull as the desktop counterpart.

You can't even share files yet. :sigh:

New Skype on Nexus 7 only has landscape mode, while the camera (and the tablet itself really) is supposed to be used in portrait mode.

looks pretty good on android but still sucks on the PC

only problem is that they broke bluetooth headset support for my tablet.

Skype was good until MS bought them out then created back doors for the FEDS to listen in.
