Minecraft: Pocket Edition - How to copy and paste?

I was watching this video, which shows how to make calculator circuits using minecraft. There is a tremendous amount of repetition with creating adders and repeaters. In the PC version, you can simply copy and paste to save repetitive effort. But how do I "copy and paste" in the pocket edition?

There is no copy/paste function on the mobile version. I seriosuly recommend using the PC version instead.

Mods could be available for that, but they are cumbersome to install and maintain on mobile.

Understood. It's for my nephew; he only has an iPad and no computer. It would make the learning process much easier for him if he could copy and paste. I sincerely appreciate your concise response.
