Hi, is there any reason why half my files on a HDD would go missing after reverting to safe mode and back? During that process, I had some problems where the computer was booting from my old OS on my first HDD. Got that fixed and its booting from new OS on new SSD now.

Files mysteriously disappearing from a hard drive could be an indication that it's starting to fail, as all hard drives do sooner or later.
