Mobappbox - Annoying malware! any help?

Hello Everybody:

I'm using a Galaxy S3 with the 4.0.4 version of the operating system (Android ICS).

A few days ago a very annoying problem has appeared in my device - each time I open my browser (the built-in one), an additional tab is opened containing the mobappbox page.

This problem is added to several other ad/spam problems, but is placed at the first place for sure.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this disturbance?

Try using an anti-virus program like Lookout or Avast Mobile.

Last resort is to reset the phone. Backup any important data before doing so.

I actually installed the AVG antivirus (for mobile), and the problem is apparently solved.
