mobile not switching on please help

nokia lumia 510 was working fine infact it had a full charge then it turned off on its own, tried switching it on again it did after a few minutes it went off, tried removing battery when putting it back in it vibrates the nokia logo comes and it goes off again. Left it for a couple of hours tried switching it on it did completely but after 5mins it went back off...what can I do?

thanks however no luck it switched on for a couple of minutes then it went off again... do you think it's a mobile problem or a software problem... as the mobile does vibrate when the battery is put in place... I really do not want to lose my personal data stored in the phone

If you were not installing a new software update, then it is the hardware.

I was not using the phone when it went off... what you think? will I lose the data?

I doubt you will use the data. Try to sync the phone to your PC and recover the data.

can't do that it is not switching on at all.

Then it is probably dead. Luckily your SIM card should have most of your contacts stored on it.
