Going from iPhone 8+ to a 10 (rx it crashes) I backed up by using iCloud. Email account is on my new phone without the emails. How do I retrieve them on my new phone?

By using the restore in iCloud https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521?locale=en_US

This also depends on how your email was setup and what exactly your backup actually saved. Are your emails still on the server if you logon to your email account with a web browser?
