Motorola V400

Ok, I have a Motorola V400, and i just got the Mobile Phonetools USB Cable and the software. I purchased MBT because I wanted to be able to make my own ringtones and transfer them easily to my phone. For some reason when I try to transfer the ringtones to my phone, it wont allow me to do it, anybody with any advice, can you help me please.
