Mov file corrupted after burn , am furious at mysl

Hi ,

I burned a copilation with some Jpegs and Mov files on a dvd-r
Now I can't open the Jpegs and Mov files.
I think they might be corrupted<
How can I restore them

Please need urgent advise

Did they ever make it on there in the first place? Can you visually see that data was put on the disk? (area with data is usually darker and goes from the center out)
