Moviies downloaded from phone to tv

Can i watch movies downloaded on my phone using the usb port on my Magnavox tv

It is possible if your phone and TV supports MHL or Mobile High-definition Link. You can connect the USB port of the phone to an HDMI-MHL input on your television. If your TV doesn't support MHL, it can't work.

You can get a Chromestick if you want to stream from the phone to the TV. You will need Wifi however.
