[citation][nom]freeinterweb[/nom]i wonder if these judges even know how the internet worksi feel like some of these rulings occur due to the judge not knowing what half of the case is about[/citation]
Lobbyists hand out money left and right....and quite often it ends up in the pockets of a few judges...

if the MPAA was in charge you might as well kiss your civil liberties goodbye, as if they haven't been imposed on thusfar.

Need to dig up some dirt on price fixing movies tickets at $14 a pop or $16 CD's, I'm pretty sure there's something to be found.

What about them putting ads in the media, did we agree to view their ads? aren't they inflicting their products on to us by infringing upon our rights.

Making a photocopy of a book to give to your friend is copyright infringement of course.

So Kinko's is promoting infringement by providing the tools to make copies. Let's close them.
The Yellow Pages publish a directory with contact information; including all Kinko's. Let's shut down the yellow pages.
The Postal service is delivering the yellow pages to homes nationwide. thus providing the information where you can illegally copy books for your friend. Let's close down the postal service.
The postal service is basically run by the United States Government, so they also are helping to promote illegal copying of books. Let's shut them down too.

I should have stayed in Law school instead of switching to IT and getting a real job :)

[citation][nom]benn520[/nom]Remember, Obama is good buddies with a lot of these people and gets a lot of money from them, and former top advisors of his work for these scum now.A vote for Obama is a vote for totalitarian authoritarianism, and the end of the internet as we know it.[/citation]
why is he being thumbs downed? he is dead on right, your last line of defense is the office of the president of the united states and a big fat veto and a state of the union address or other press coverage and campaigning to rally support for or against something.
obama has signed every piece of legislation that ratifies totalitarianism into the constitution that makes it to his desk. patriot act renewal, NDAA, ACTA.
there is also another bill making it's way thru congress with goes further to remove rights of citizens, but i forgot the acronym for it. book marked it in one of the web browsers instead, that'll take awhile to find! anyways obama stated he would sign that one also.

Obama even made a public statement about his not supporting SOPA and PIPA. Otherwise, yes, many of his decisions in lawmaking have seemed totalitarian, but not on the SOPA and PIPA billsas benn520 suggested. Ben250 was wrong and that is why.

Also, ACTA and OPEN were not the same type of bills as the SOPA/PIPA bills. By other bill, perhaps you are referring to OPEN?

There is a very simple way to destroy them. STOP BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS. STOP GIVING THEM YOUR MONEY.

None of their wares are the least bit necessary or interesting. Bland generic songs and dull movie remakes. When their profits drop and it's linked to their pathetic attempts at censorship, those activities will stop.
