MSI Afterburner

I downloaded MSi and tested MW2 campaign on it, i was getting 80-90fps before recording
but then it dropped down to around 30!
Is there a setting to boost fps recording?

amd fx4100 3.6ghz
8gb ram
1tb 7200rpm hhd

Record to a seperate internal disk, partition or SSD than the game is running from.

External hard drives are NOT a good idea.
