I am currently deciding between the MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 and the Apache Pro-001.
The only differences between the two is a USB type C, 128GB M.2 SSD, i7-6700HQ, and 16GB DDR4 on the Pro-001. Price difference fluctuates between 200-300 dollars. Should the i7-5700HQ with DDR3 be fine, or would it be worth it to spend 200 more for a 6th gen i7 and DDR4?

Thanks!

It really depends on the use, if your going to be doing lots of editing or 3D cad ect then more ram and processor power is always good. If its for gaming then there really is not much use for faster ram and slightly faster CPU.
