Msi GE72VR vs Acer helios 300 what should I get

Hello guys so im looking to buy either a helios 300 or a msi ge72vr apache pro but what im concerned about is the long term durability ... im a person that uses my laptop for gaming almost everyday so this concerns me ..

.. I looked on the web and I found some people complaining of heating issues with msi laptop but couldnt find none so I ask for your help and thanks in advance

Specs that differ between each laptop

The msi has an optical drive while acer dont
Msi comes with 256 ssd + 1 tb hdd (7200pm) while accer has only an ssd
Msi has 8 gb ddr4 while accer has 16 gigs
These dont concern me that much I care about the heating issues and other long term issues

I'd go for the Acer since you can add a mechanical storage drive later down the road, provided the SSD in it is an M.2 variant.
