MSI GL62M 7RD or ASUS ROG GL553VD

Hi Guys,

I want to buy a Laptop but unfortunately I got no experience with buying Laptops compared to building a PC due to lack of visibility and insight into Laptop components.

Things I would be using Laptop for:-

- Programming (Android Studio, Unity/Unreal Engine, MS Visual Studio).
- Reading books sometimes.
- Light Gaming, an hour a day on average (Overwatch, WoW, Dota 2).
- Average 4/5 hour daily usage.
- Might attach a 24 inch Screen to it.

MSI GL62M 7RD (Costing $1393)

So far I found these two Laptop to my liking but can't decide which one is better suited in term of stability and longevity. The after sale service is kinda average for both the companies in my country. One got more Graphic memory but lower Processor and other got higher Processor but lower Graphic memory.

Also, are there any better alternative compared to these two laptop(Budget $1400 Max)?Or are these laptops even suited for my usage?Originally both the laptop cost around ~$1000 but due to import duties they are costing me another $300-400 in my country.

$1300 for a GTX 1050 laptop?

No thanks in that price range you should be looking into a GTX 1060 laptop

A GTX 1060 will come with other upgrades and push the price around $1600-1700. Location is India.

1050 ti maybe, the gpu is very important, specially for a laptop

Get the MSI then, the asus is a waste of money it has a 960M, the GTX 1050 is at least 70% faster and you really wanna go with a better GPU as a future-proof buy.
