I am currently looking for a laptop for when I go to Uni in a few months and I have come across two laptops which I think are very good but I can’t choose between them. I will be playing mostly games like PES/Fifa but would also maybe try Crysis 3 if possible. I will also be using Ableton frequently to make music tracks and hence why I'm so keen on having lots of RAM.

MSI GS60 2QD Ghost 607 i7-5700HQ 2.7-3.5GHz 15.6", IPS FHD / GTX 965M 2GB / 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD / 16GB RAM at £1,259.16

and…

Asus GL551JW-DS74-HID3 15.6" i7 4720HQ 2.6-3.6GHz 2GB GTX 960M Windows 8.1, IPS Screen / 128GB SSD + 1TB 7200RPM HDD / 16GB RAM / BD-RE at £1,162.56

If anyone is able to help, I’d greatly appreciate it. Also open to any other similar laptop suggestions.

Cheers.

The GS60 chassis is very sleek and thin and the specs will be more than enough for PES/Fifa(and can run Crysis 3 decently as well) The GS60 also has the newest Intel Broadwell 5th gen cpu, so performance and efficiency will be better as well.

Is it really worth the extra $100 for a marginal increase. I would save up and get a laptop with a gtx 970m if you are willing to spend more. Or spend that extra $100 in storage
