Is MSI a good laptop brand? I'm looking at this laptop.

Bought a new GS75 USD$2800.00 . Attempt to use first time, plug the power, turn on switch, screen open, ask for language, screen turned off, smoke appears. go to service center, main board burned, will repair atleast 2 weeks. How you will feel?

Problem is I'm in Singapore now. I bought it in US last April. Eventhough I feel they need to replace it because they have International warranty.
