Can I use the following on my fortec

a Triple LNB Direct TV satellite dish which receives the HDTV channels. - 3
LNB's - best on the market! You will get broadcasts from all three DIRECTV
satellites (at 101, 110, and 119 degrees), including HD content, local
channels for some areas and the ability to connect four receivers. These
dishes are designed to stand up to the severest weather and atmospheric
conditions, and can withstand 50-75 mph winds. Some of the Key Features are:
Multi-satellite dish antenna with a third LNB, built in integrated
multiswitch lets you connect up to four DIRECTV receivers, Sat-C LNB
receives content from the 110-degree satellite, which broadcasts some HDTV
programming with HDTV-compatible DIRECTVPlus receiver required to receive
HDTV programming and the actual dish size is 21-1/8"W x 18-1/2"H.

the fortec wont pickup anything on the directv satellite, however, you can
get the few free channels from the dishnetwork satellites at teh same
locations, you wont get any HDTV or the others channels

This dish would probably not be very useful, unless you can find two DBS
satellites that are 18 degrees apart that have DVB programming you want to
see.

You may be better off with a 30" dish that can pick up Ku FSS satellite
signals, perhaps along with a positioner motor to enable you to try out
any satellite in the arc that you can see.

Note that FSS and DBS satellites require different LNBs. You can tack a
DBS LNB onto an FSS dish and get DBS signals, but not really vice-versa
(most DBS dishes are too small).

Sure you can, nothing on 101 for you to see so you can leave that LNBF
off. You also don't want the DirecTV sat-c LNBF.

The dish you are referring to will get you free music. A 1.2 with a
diseq motor will serve you much better.

in this case i think1.2 refers to a reciever that has diseq 1.2 function,
you move the dish and the motor via the reciver, you find the satellite,
then save it, you move onto the next satellite, then save it, you then can
have the reciever move the dish automaticly when you switch to a channel on
a differnt satellite.

alot of recievers have diseq 1.2 and 1.3, i got my reciever and motor from
http/www.sadoun.com about 18 months, and have had no problems with them.
