Multiple speakers to act as one device

I have a set of speakers (2.0) that are plugged into my PC through a 3.5mm jack and I have an amp that I can use as a sub. I was wondering if there was any way to group them so that my computer recognises them as a single speaker.

Not sure what you mean by amp that can you use as a sub.
If you you want to add a self powered sub to your 2.0 speakers how you do it will depend on the PC.
If you have a orange audio jack on your computer you can connect the subwoofer amp there. It has the center channel output too so you have to use the correct RCA output. Set your PC to 2.1.
If not then you can split the output you have the 2.0 speakers connected to and connect the subwoofer amp there. Set your PC to 2.0.

I was meaning could I use 2 separate audio outputs at the same time using one as a sub and one as a pair of tweeters? Thanks for your help

Very easy to go from 2.0 to 2.1 because most modern PC has a SUB OUT jack? Just configure sound panel.

Unfortunately I do not have a sub out jack on my mobo. Maybe I will have to look into alternative methods, I was just wondering if there was anything fairly quick and simple. Thanks for your help though
