Well, for some reason, which doesn't surprise me really with MSI, their website won't let me locate or download any of the drivers for that model of laptop without logging in to a registered product so you'll have to get them yourself, but I'd download and install the latest touchpad drivers for your exact model from their website and then in control panel go into the mouse properties, perhaps it's already there, and look for an additional tab with extra settings labeled synaptics or whatever touchpad model comes on that unit. All of your additional tweaks should be there.

I'm looking into getting my first gaming laptop, it will be for primarily video editing and music recording and editing, would you recommend the MSI GE62 apache-082 or the Asus ROG GL551JW-DS71? I will get 16gb of ram and an SSD in the long run so the MSI will need both and the Asus would need an SSD installed..minor upgrades in my opinion(I have friends who say they will help with the SSD) Thank you.
@psycrow395 how do you like the trackpad? I have heard that is the main annoyance people have, because it is also brushed alum and feels funny when sliding to the right and left.

The model should be printed on the back of the case or in the battery compartment under the battery but on the case.
