My 2 RTV5504 replaytv's do not see each other on my local network.
Yet, my DVArchive software program sees both from computer.

Each ReplayTV sees the computer's DVArchive on local network and will
play DVArchive's videos. Why can't they see each other on local
network?

Cable modem, linksys router BEFSR41 v.2 w/4 ports, netgear 104 4 port
hub. The netgear 104 four-port 10-Mbps network hub in basement
where the other replaytv is along with another computer.

There are a number of possibilities. Have you set them both up with
FIXED and different IP addresses? (That is the 1st step)

Second if the clocks are not dead on, (Which they should be, NTP after
all) then they won't see each other... Don't ask me why that is, I can't
think of any reason that say a 30 second difference in the clocks should
mater.... but my laptop keeps loosing sight of the Replay, DVArchive
says "Check your clock" I close it, and either 1: run NIST-TIME to
re-set the clock (then re-run DVA) or 2: Re-run DVA and note the time
difference. Laptop seems to need a new CMOS battery clock is way off
every day and NIST-TIME resets it very accurately

And disable your DHCP server (usually in the router). This shouldn't
cause a problem, but the Replay software is buggy that way.
