I need help in finding out how to repair my Adcom GFA 5400 power amp. The left channel seems to go out from time to time. If I move the wire where it connects to the input jack, it creates severe distortion making the channel stop.

Could be that the input jack needs to be resoldered or replaced. Could also be a bad cable if you haven't tried that.
