My aspire E 15 turned off and won't turn back on. Even the LED lights are not lighting

My acer aspire e 15 is not turning on. I had locked the screen just for a few minutes and later when I tried opening it, it won't.

Try the following and see if it will turn on.

1. First make sure the device has been charged.
2. Unplug your charger cord.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds and see if the device will turn on.
5. If it does, great, now plug back in the power/charger cord. (If it didn't turn on without the cord in, it should turn on once you it is in.)
6. Now put the battery back in.

If this doesn't help, then test the power cord to see if it is good. Either try your cord in another device, or try another devices cord in your laptop.

Should that not be the problem, then check the battery to see if it needs replacing.

From there, if it is still not working, then you may need to open it up and find out the problem. Or take it to someone who can do that for you.

I have the same problem, buyed the laptop 2 weeks ago.By the way, who does not know it the E15 does not have removable battery

Almost all batteries are removable, not easily like some, but removable. However, it would void a warranty to try to access ones that are said to be "unremovable".

No there isn't on acer. The warranty is void if you unscrew a screw to acces the processor (so if you cange thermal paste you will have the warranty totally out)

By the way whe i opened my acer the motherboard was literally burnt and was smoking when i opened it. I don't know what kind of satanic malfuncion it is but it happened. Warranty did accepted it back tho.

Fantastic. Wow, it takes quite a bit of heat to get it to fry a motherboard, unless there was a defective component, which can happen.

I think there was a problem with the adapter..... The part that was actually smoking a bit was around where the power chord goes in....

Perhaps a power surge? Scary that it was smoking though that is a tad to much.

Agree. This is the worst model I've ever used. I'd the some problem & don't know how to solve it since no removable battery.

If you look closely on the back there is a button which can be accessed with a paperclip or something similar, it basically cuts the battery power, not as good as removing it but it's there....
