my ASUS laptop(bought 1 month earlier) is not switching ON without connecting the charger. HELP???

I bought an ASUS laptop a weeks back I can't seem to switch it on without connecting it to the charger. The battery is stuck at 56%(reads plugged in, charging) (only it doesn't). it is working fine while connected to the charger but gets dead(black out), as soon as i plug out the charger. Any suggestions???

sounds like the battery has died. 1 month old should be under warranty I would contact asus about how to run there battery test/warranty code generator and get a replacement.

Clearly there is an issue with the battery.

You might be able to get the Vendor to replace battery but most likely you will have to go through ASUS customer support.

Before going to too much trouble ... it might be worth turning off the laptop - remove the battery and then re-install it. Turn on laptop and see if it starts charging.
