Question My Asus ROG STRIX cannot read my External HDD

External Harddrive working fine on my PC, wont even show on my ROG Laptop, wont show on disk management, nothing change when i scan hardware change on device manager, i have been working with 2 ASUS ROG laptop, both problem stay.. is there any option i need to turn on ?

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21 GHz
Win 10 64 bit

i tried usb power setting, its not there, i tried bios, nothing there..


help will be so much appreciated

what this external hdd?

nothing on device manager. it only show my current onboard hdd, i tried WD ext HDD and another one i think seagate, both not showing, but both fine on my pc

test with all usb port? does the external hdd have it own power adapter?

all 3 port wont work (for the harddrive) it works for the usb flash drive like normally, the hdd external lights is on.. it use a usb cable like standard hdd

using the laptop while plug in? or battery?
check power setting on the usb port? could be in power saving mode

power mode is on performance, while using battery, its always on performance whether plugged or battery.. theres no usb power setting on my power option, it only show sleep, display, battery, no usb power setting

contact asus or check their forum. sound like a setting that we are missing
