My battery is dead, looking to buy a new one.

After poking around for a little, it seems like aftermarket batteries are OK. I found two batteries from amazon. Do you think that either of these will do OK? I have a Toshiba Satellite L67D

Check a place like Batteries Plus too. The price will be higher, of course, but if the price is a LOT higher, the Amazon offerings may be cheap junk that might last a year, whereas Batteries Plus sells mostly Ray-O-Vac iirc, which is much better and will last 3+ years. It may end up cheaper in the long run buying one better battery than three cheap ones.

So Batteries Plus sells new batteries that have not sat on shelves for ages?

As far as I know, yes. I did buy a battery for my Dell 1505 years ago. I gave that laptop to my niece the next year iirc, and after two more it's still going.
