very unlikely, most mCPUs are soldered onto the board, or the bios is locked down, or the thermal solution can't cope, very very few will allow it.

Check to see if it was ever issued with that CPU, if it was then the bios might cope.

Both the same family, the T9900 came in PGA and BGA, get the right one.

Same family / core, slightly higher FSB...hmm, other than BIOS...there should be no problem)
AFAIK, no...it wasnt sold with T9900
