My laptop WiFi won't come on so I can search for available networks what can I do I have tried switching it off and on

Open Device Manager and go to Network adapters.
Try the built-in Windows troubleshooters. They may be able to find and fix something.

Check to see if the wireless adapter is enabled. If not do so. Ensure that no other adapters (e.g., wired) are enabled.

Most laptops have a Fn-key combination to turn WiFi on/off.
