My dvd playersays my usb unsupported

Hello,
i have a toshiba dvd player with usb.i have watched 2 films but now it just keeps sayin unsupported usb.it works on the other could the usb port be faulty after only 2 uses

I'm havng te same problem. I have some movies on my external hard drive but when I plug it ito theUS post, I get the message unsupported USB file. My movies are in avi format. a anyone tell me why I can' watch movies on the DVD player via the eternalhar drive. I have checked hard drive properties and file system is exFAT32. Please help.
