my hdmi wont connect my laptop to my tv.

i tried connecting the xbox to the laptop and it worked but when it comes to the laptop it wont work. this worked before but now it doesnt. it says on the tv "connecting" then it changes to no signal

I had this issue myself not too long ago with my desktop, it may be that your video out on your laptop is blown. Do you have a second option for a video out on your laptop? If so figure out what it is and get a cable that has the male connector for that output and a male connector for the input on your tv. Hope this helps.
