Solved! My HP dv6000 battery burns my leg

Hello,
My laptop has burned my leg and so I got a pad to put between my skin and the laptop and the pad shows signs of burning plus it's still very hot on my left leg. What should I do when HP says mine wasn't one that needed recall?

I have the same problem, mine is a hair dryer. How do I know if I qualify for the recall you mention? Thanks
