My hp laptop won’t turn on

My HP laptop won’t turn on after I simply closed the lid. The caps lock button light is flashing and I just have no idea what to do. This is really annoying because I need it for my GCSE work...
I have had the laptop repaired before because of this reason but it was costly and was just wondering if there was a simpler way to repair it. I was running a game and then closed the top and then it just won’t change from the black screen.
I’ve tried turning it off and then tried to turn it on again but that won’t work. I have also tried to remove the battery but that had no impact either. So I just please need a way to fix it please... I would be highly appreciative if someone helped me!
