My HP Pavilion laptop is taking more time to boot up..what will be the problem

Hi I am using hp Pavilion laptop with windows 8.1 OS..When i switch on my laptop its not loading windows at a time, it takes more than 15 mins to load...What might be the problem plz help me

Could be a virus, could be a slow laptop that should not be running 8, could be a failing hard drive.

Need more details about the system, specifications and when this started.

Did you already run a virus and spyware check? See if there is a drive check utility in the BIOS options or maybe a startup utility menu.
