GREAT. Whats a thread?
I have a PC and I am trying to connect a speaker to charge to use with my Ipad 2

When you posted this question you started a thread. The answers and comments lengthen it. Some threads having many comments over time get long.
When you plug in the speaker the PC doesn't recognize it (no drivers) but you don't really care about that since you just want to charge it right? Just leave it connected and see if it charges. Some PCs have USB ports that provide charging even when the PC is off.
