My laptoair is checking your system for problems

My son has a Toshiba sattelite laptop he was attempting to restart his computer after uninstalling his old internet security to prepare for installing updated internet security. His screen now says "Your computer was unable to start. Start Up Repair is checking your system for solutions. Right now at the bottom it says it is attempting to repair problems, but it has been attempting this for two hours now. Please help!

1st off how does laptop turn to "laptoair" lol
Wait it out is my best option, if it lasts for 3-4 hrs turn off laptop and restart.
BTW you should use windows system restore.
