My laptop (ASUS) froze on lock mode when i was turning it off, now it wont neither turn back on nor completely off

2 things to try unplug the power cord and take the battery out and go and make a drink. then put back together and switch on. If that doesn't work some ASUS have a small hole on the underside which you put a unfolded paperclip into and causes a reset. If either way works windows will probably say incorrect shutdown let it run the diagnostics.
