My laptop is at 1000 ghz and I need to upgrade it to 2000 for a job is that possible?

Solution

I wouldn't recommend it. It would require software to override the bios setting and a small mistake could leave you with a ruined brick .

The cpu on that model is soldered. You'd have to replace the motherboard with one that is made for that model and has a faster cpu soldered to it and unless you plan on doing this yourself the parts+labor would likely be close to that of a replacement laptop with better specs.
