Hey
So recently I had a problem with my laptop (Dell n5010) as its screen was showing weird static and stuff. I managed to fix it in safe mode but when I restarted my graphics now look like VGA . I know it means that there is a problem with my drivers. But I have to idea how to fix it since its such an old laptop and I won't be able to get a new one anytime soon. Plz help

Solution

That happends when your gpu isnt recognized by your CPU. It happend to me once... I just format my new PC with 2 Titan X Sli and netiher of them were recognized... So it didnt let me install the drivers. So i just donwloaded Geforce Experience by its own and installed it. Then the experience automatically detected my GPUs and installed the respective drivers.
I dont know much about ati but im pretty sure...
boot on safe mode and erase all previous drivers, then install one of the most basic versions of your GPU driver and let it update by himself... thats it.

The problem is I can't install any drivers . It says "one of the installers for the device cannot function at the moment" .
So I won't be able to update the GPU driver
