My laptop restart on its own

hi, i have a hp compaq presario v3000 with windows 7 ultimate, intel pentium dual-core inside 1.5 ghz and 1.5 gb of ram. the problem is, it restar on its own, i don't what the problem is, i've scan for viruses using kaspersky internet security 2010 but it does not show any sign it is effected by virus or anything, so i'm confused, please help me.

Check the CPU temperatures to make sure it's not getting hot. Are you doing anything prior to the restarts, or are they random?
