my laptop temp

Solution
Not "too" hot. I would say a little above the average. Most laptops I've seen run between 50 to 55C on idle and under load can go up to 70C.

You could try to clean it using a can of compressed air.

Do I need to open it first?

Not necessarily. You can spray air in every openings you see. There's usually an intake fan underneath, and exhausts on the side and in the back.

However, if the laptop never been cleaned in years, it might be clogged with too much dust and you might need to open it to remove huge chunks of dusts that are stuck preventing the air from circulating properly.
