My Laptop used to run games smoothly

My laptop used to run games such as csgo(300 fps) overwatch(100fps) h1z1 (smooth 60) and now they run at at low 100 for csgo and overwatch is like 30-60 not constant.

-Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz
-Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M
-Video Card #2 Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
-RAM 12 GB
-1TB of hhd storage
-Operating System Microsoft Windows 8.1 (build 9600), 64-bit

Will getting new storage or ssd help

An SSD does not help with FPS, all it does is lower load and boot times.

The issue could be that the system isn't switching to the 950M as it's supposed to and just using the Intel graphics. I've run into this issue a lot lately as nVidia has some jacked up drivers as of late. Try updating both nVidia and Intel drivers.

Another reason is could be a windows update as that can mess with drivers. Also it can be dust if the laptop is old. I assume temps are not high when gaming.
