Question My lenovo laptop Freezes completely when you connect a charger

Its a lenovo Ideapad 330s-15IKB running on windows 10. It works normal on battery power but as soon as you connect the charger the screen becomes dark and everything just freezes until you take out the charger and restart it.
I have to turn it off before i can charge it. Please help

is it the original charger for your ideapad?

try a different charger with the same voltage and equal or more wattage
