I cannot turn on my phone. I charged it last night and it will not turn on this morning. I have held the on and volume buttons for 30 seconds and it will not come on. What can I do?

Solution
Holding the buttons doesn't do any good if the other steps are not followed.

NOTE: Yes, I know some phone batteries are not so easy to get to, on some devices. In such a case, make sure that your phone is not under warranty still before you try opening it up yourself. If it is under warranty, then contact the manufacturer first.

Try the following and see if it will turn on.

1. Remove the battery.
2. Press and hold the "Power" button for 20 seconds.
3. Now put the battery back in.
4. Plug it in to charge and allow it to fully charge before turning it on.

If this doesn't help, then test the charger cord to see if it is good. Either try your cord in another device, or try another devices cord on your device.

Should that not be the...

My brother gave me his old ZTE Android Straight Talk phone. I did a hard reset on it and for some reason the power button stopped working. I could hook it up to the charger and it would charge all the way to 100%. I could not for the life of me figure out how to turn my phone on. I did all the hold down button and the battery tricks. Nothing work for me. But I only saw one comment on a different site that says to hold down your volume down key while your phone is unplugged and then plug in your phone while holding the volume key down. And surely enough it turned my phone on. It did turn it on into the field test mode. I had to disconnect my battery and redo it but my phone works just fine now I seriously have taken my phone apart and everything. I figured if it's broken I can't hurt it. Nothing work for me. This finally did. I really hope it helps you
