my smartphone won't power on after updates

Mine won't either. My husband's phone went through the update just fine.
Mine however went through it and when I finally thought it was done it just never came back on.
I've tried removing the battery, replacing it with a different one, and holding the Volume down and power button together but nothing will work.

Mine did the exact same thing about an hour ago. Updated downloaded and installed just fine but once it restarted itself, it never came back on. No hard reset, factory mode or anything and I'm at a loss.

My wife's just did the same today after an update. LG phone doesn't turn on at all. Tried 10, 20, and 30 seconds holding the power button. And also tried power button + volume down. And plugging charger in doesn't have a red led light either. Called our provider but no progress. Phone was only a year old.
